Awesome.......reminds me of the driving holidays I've had in the Alps with my mates, the roads are just like that :D

flat6pilot 02-07-2017 01:21 PM

Yea great video. Speaking of video's, you need to make some more of your car, Gavin. Preferably from the outside.

berponte 02-07-2017 02:01 PM

Really awesome! Did Magnus Walker Shaved??
Love when people take out their precious belongings to enjoy life!!!

Bravo!

xbmwguy 02-07-2017 02:41 PM

Wow looks just like the roads here in Florida!!

MikeD930 02-07-2017 04:18 PM

That's a cool video but good grief...that's a lot of cutting across lines.

RarlyL8 02-07-2017 04:23 PM

Man that was AWESOME!

Tippy 02-07-2017 05:03 PM

I wanna know what the chase car was

full quack 02-07-2017 05:44 PM

When I straighten out the corners like that, my passengers get real nervous. Must be real nice to have had that road closed to other traffic for the shoot!

And by the by....the only way roads would look like that in Florida...would be after the African continent collided with it......... nice try XBMWGUY.

Most excellent! As we say around here "hauling ass". Guess I need someone to follow me with a drone or something. It just isn't exciting enough to see video out the front window only. Not that I can pilot any where near as well as the driver in the video.

Yeah....indeed....looks just like Florida

tops911 02-07-2017 08:17 PM

Nice!

SBK930 02-07-2017 11:28 PM

What a 930 was made for.

RarlyL8 02-08-2017 03:45 AM

Drive about 300miles North of Florida and you will see roads like that.

Did that last summer and he is right, beautiful area! Turbo was screamin' tires squealin' To bad we were in the Motorhome instead of the Porsche.:D

proffighter 02-08-2017 04:37 AM

Yeah it's in Switzerland, home sweet homeSmileWavy

patina 02-08-2017 09:30 AM

I guess I'm the only one that gets really bothered by lane splitting... I don't know why but it always ruins videos like this for me. Stay in your lane!

rufrob 02-08-2017 12:46 PM

Is it possible to get the video without the music? The motor doesn't sound like a turbo. I couldn't hear the wastegate, the on boost swoosh, just occasional muted pop.

I was looking for pictures and info of your beast after reading your last comment on my thread. Saw this video....I lived in Sion Switzerland back in the 90s. These were my roads.....but I sadly I had a stock GOLF to drive.....lucky for me or I would probably still be in prison or DEAD ; )

so cool. Where can I read more about your car.....most interested in what top speads you have seen with that .514 gearing and 800 whp........and how insnse that must feel. How you address down force that dosnt kill top end but makes car stable.

Two friends of mine (964 + 88er 3.2) and I want to drive our cars from the Stuttgart area to LA in the next 1-2 years. I think it's worth a trip across Florida.
Thanks for this nice video.
And thank you Brian for the Holy Kokeln Grail in my display case,
Dominik

Great video, if they could turn down the music and turn up that sweet turbo sound.....

Miguel Antonett 01-07-2021 07:24 PM

WOW! I'm sorry guys but you must never cross that solid line on a public road unless blocked just for you.

I vote for this one.
With a clear line of sight, I donít see a problem with crossing lines. Safety first.

There is longer version of this somewhere.

That's decent driving. These could be so much more enjoyable to watch without the goofy music. I guess that Producers get a vote and are tone deaf to exhaust note....there's a lot of good footage on utube that's ruined with heavy music that totally obscures the cars' mechanical sounds.

I totally agree. Very few YouTube videos get the music and car right. Thanks JK.
Now I mostly turn down or off the sound.
The original Wolf of the Autostrada was good copyright be damned.

Caught your other reference to light nose >150... when I added my AIR (DP-esque) front valance I found *substantial* improvement... car's f'n PLANTED thru speedo nether regions (where 'Raw oft finds hisself ahem firmly ahem planted ) +180ish

(rofl 'still' in prison.. where 'Raw learned all his... 'tricks')

totally agree on stoopid dumb musak ruinin cacauphonous mechanical wondrousness - idjutz

Miguel... I def employ tactical double yellow crosses... like rufrob qualified, given a LOS. Fersure. Btw... miss ya brutha!? :D Hope yer swell! (queue 'Raw)

rufrob 02-08-2021 02:09 AM
