ZZZ stamped US cars
This morning I looked at an 86 and 87 930s with a long time Porsche dealer. Both cars were sold new in America and the dash area VIN was US. However, on both cars, the stamping on the body panels was ZZZ. Dealer said it was no big deal; either Porsche changed their mind when the car was on the line, or they were bodies left over from MY 85 when there weren't any Federal 930s. These were private sale cars and the dealer had no financial interest in the sale.
Your thoughts? And have you checked the stampings on your post 85 US spec car?
