i don't go buy window size, but instead file size.
I will usually just crop the pic down to the main subject. if that does not work I resize it based on a % of reduction |
great pics ub! 8-)
good luck B, tx fer sharin I too used to post pics no issues then one day - poof(tie) - I'm no longer able despite trying many iterations, alas I've stopped bothering unfortunately as it's become too annoying for a technocaveman such as me |
Brian, you can email me the photo and I will upload to my hosting site and then get it up on thread here. If you still have my email address that is.
|
OK at the risk of going off the deep end into off-topic land... when I post pics, I find it is easier to do it the old way. Sometimes with an iphone or ipad the new way hangs up...

OK, received some new pics from RWB. Fingers crossed.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491003581.png Here is the failure message: You attempted to upload a file totaling 473511 bytes. We tried to compress it down, but it still exceeds the maximum limit of 200000 bytes. Please go back and select a smaller image. Second try: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491004959.png That's as good as I can get it by adjusting the Max Height and Width using Jims tool. May be another parameter I am missing? . |
Just go old school and use paint. I open the photo in paint, click resize, pixels, type in 1200 and save it. I can upload this using the pelican uploader. Works every time. I don't use a phone, tablet or such that you young guys use.:D

Love the tail lights and that big ass! Showing off that sweet exhaust too.

I think I know whats causing the problem.
I just right clicked on the picture you posted and it's not a jpeg file like most of the pictures people post, its a .png file. It needs to converted in to a jpeg file so the forum software displays it the way you expect it to. Sometimes you can just rename the file extension from .png to .jpg and resave it and sometimes it's not that easy. Best thing is read how to do it. How do you convert PNG to JPG? Locate the PNG file on your computer and click "Open". The PNG file will open in Paint. Now, click the menu icon again and click "Save as". At the bottom of this window you will see the "Save as type" drop down box, from this select "JPEG", give the file a new name if you wish, and click "Save". Might be the best RWB car I've seen.
|
OK, saved previously posted picture as a jpeg, lets see what happens.

Nice. It got bigger.
Same jpeg after making it a little bigger and highlight shadow tool adjustments in Photoshop. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491150510.jpg |
That is a work of art!

Looks like the uphill at Lime Rock back in the 80's
