Check out this tt setup in Hemmings
On a '79. Looks like CIS. Integral WG 's with the flapper welded shut. Rear mount but oriented f to r with center muffler. Interesting. That BOV took up a lot of potential IC area. Extra fueling into the cold side end tank? Ad 1887151

Lots of custom manifold work.
The picture from the back is impressive. Bet it has an awesome sound. Doubt there is much filtering of the twin turbos. |
I would like to see a shot from below. Also a dyno sheet.

I am really impressed! I would love to see that set-up in person. Amazing custom work.

lost lots of IC surface area. does not look very effective. seen better IC designs for TT.

The BOV is in the worst place too. Could have increased core size by placing right after turbos - of course this requires 2 of them. But if you're going this far.... |
I can't really tell what's going on with all the plumbing, do you have more pictures?
|
Hard to tell how old but would not surprise me it was from the early to mid 80s when you had to DIY for something this unique.

No, not of the engine, that's all that is on Hemmings. Air intake to 2nd turbo t's off just down from air meter elbow. Turbo's are in side - mount orientation but further towards the rear. Center mounted muffler that both turbo's feed into. Not a bad car for 65K if someone wants a hot rod. Has a COA and 52k miles.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1492455250.jpg |
Yes, looks like a good hot rod.
