965 3.3 Idel ajustment question

Hey guys
I have plenty of experience with m y old 3.3 turbo, But not with the 965 3.3, very much the same but with a few controllers doing some of the adjustment for me, My 965 starts perfect warms up perfect, runs perfect ,

At cold start she goes to 1100 rpms, the goes down to 750, I would like to rise the RPM's to 950, because I like the sound track better at higher RPM'S and it helps with scavenge oil pump for the turbo.

Question...... is if I just bump up the idle to 950 will it mess with my tune, I don't think it should but what do you think ?

thank you
Helio

My understanding is that the idle adjust really only affects it at idle. Once you open the throttle, the position of the idle speed screw is immaterial to the mixture.
Easy enough to change and then change back if it causes unintended problems...

Edited to fix what I meant to say - idle speed screw insteam of idle mixture screw.

Turning the idle speed adjustment screw is analogous to cracking the throttle open with your right foot. It has no effect on tune. In other words, it's not like messing with the idle mixture screw on the air sensor plate or control pressure. It just makes the engine run faster.

That makes sense, I just wanted to make sure, I've been down that slippery slope, we all have...lol
