Thanks! I sourced a stock front valance and lip, but it has a front mount oil cooler on it.. in a predicament on what to do! ha

Yes, it sure does! Luckily.. it did however have a front big fin brake caliper replaced with a caliper from the 80s keeping my eye out for a passenger front big fin caliper.

Part II

I took the turbo to Thunder Hill today. I got up at 4:45 and drove the 116 miles to the track and ran three times with the beginner group. The third time out after all the classes were done I was able to open her up. The 38 year old KKK was not happy with that decision... There was a moderate amount of oil pushed out of the intercooler seal onto the engine and back body. So I called it a day and watched my friends. I let the car cool off and fired it up. There was a big puff of smoke and then it cleared up. So I drove the 116 miles back home. I put about 60 track miles on today.
Another fun day!

My turbo day didn't work out as planned

My car mostly holds the garage floor down.
Less than 30,000 miles after 31 years.
I thought it would be fun to take a leaf tour with the local club.
About 100 miles out the darned thing died - no spark.
I have a new coil coming today and I hope that gets her going.

^^^ That sucks.
My green wire is a cracked and deteriorated mess. I wait for the sputter and die every time I drive somewhere.
It's on this winters to do list.

Exactly what happened to me. Requires a rebuild to resolve.

^^^ How could you go the track without handling that issue first!

^^^ I handled the suspension and brakes first...
I like to do things all at one time and not piece by piece.
I have the headers, Turbo, Oil return line kit, Waste Gates, Leask WUR, MSD Programable, coil and Multi Gauge with sensors.
Need: Long neck intercooler, injectors, heat shield, turbo support, clutch and shifter.

All of that is more than most cars cost. It takes time.

There's more than one way to enjoy a 930. Here's my definition of a great turbo day. We have five 930's in the shop right now. Nothing better than making these beasts run well and hard, love working on these great cars!!

Lookin good. Wish I lived closer, hard to find a good shop to resolve CIS and modded turbo issues anywhere near me in Milwaukee area. May have to come out of retirement and open one if I can find the right people again to partner with.

I'd be a kid in a candy store at your place Tony!
Our M&K affiliates (Ben's crew) remain in WI. I'm planning a visit to go over new products and production strategies, would love to stop by your place if it can be worked out.

Back to the topic at hand, fun turbo days, the gray slant has been down for a bit with (another) relay issue. I knew what the problem was but didn't have time to mess with it (yes customers come first). Pulled 'er into the shop this week and ripped all that crap out. Had my fill of all that stupid relay bull**** that causes so many problems. We now have only what you need to operate and nothing more. Hit the key and she fired up and idled perfectly after sitting for 6 weeks. Cool weather is coming and I'm NOT missing it!! There is nothing on earth like a hot turbo on a cold day to make you laugh like a little girl. Now THAT is the perfect turbo day!

Any time should be fine and getting your impression of them, especially the modded ones, would be something I would look forward to.
