A Turbo Day

I figured I show the garage queen, what's my car worth crowd, how to enjoy a 930. I spent another day driving the 930 and put another 150 miles on it.

My son and I got up early and took the long way to Folsom for a cars and coffee meet. We headed up to HWY49 and across Salmon Falls Rd to EDH and down to Folsom.

I didn't take any pictures at the show. I don't think I'm going to any more of them. I'm tired of the same dum questions. How much did you pay? What do you think it's worth? I had xxx and sold too soon, blah blah blah. Very few real car guys anymore.

We then loaded the wife and both kids up in 104* heat and drove to see the new Cars movie. The Turbo powered snow blower was cold and comfortable.

After the movie the wife and I dropped off the kids and took the car out for a nice dinner with friends. I didn't take anymore photos though.

So show me, and those missing out, how you enjoyed your Turbo.

Yup, great minds thinking alike. Woke up on this lovely Fathers Day at the crack of dawn, had a nice coffee, kissed the wife goodbye and took the 930 for a nice 100km round trip to the local race track.

The Pcar's buried in my toy chest somewhere.

Beautiful smooth roads with barely any traffic to be found

Got to the track

Did some car spotting

Dropped by a cafe on way home for bathroom break and a latte

Lunch and beer waiting for me as soon as I walked in the door

got up and took the 911 out for a nice solo semi spirited drive. Took it home and swapped it out for the turbo. met up with a neighbor who just got a new Z06 for a lead /follow for a real spirited drive. he was really surprised how much giddy up the 930 had on some 70-130 mph sprints. got back home and farted around in the garage for 4 hours. Now its time to cook out with the dogs and drink some beer. good day.

The gf was babysitting so I found a car show not far away. It was 109* on Saturday, still better than at home!

Love the fuchs. Really like that front valance and I normally don't like aftermarket valances. Nice color too. Nice looking RoW 79 930.

Love that so many gamers hit their local track over this weekend!

But drive? Where would I drive it? Lolz.

early F-Day treat for me yesterday - a 3 911 blast out to Lime Rock for the Caffine & Carberators gathering with idjut friends, incl some jnr "parade" laps.

A 180mi day filled with messin with e/o hoonery and general arseholery #justnotright...

Does installing a turbo count?

annnnnd... pics - posting from phones too PITA!

coming into Big Bend @ tripidigi's:

my bud's face as I blew past wastgate wide TF open:

my GAWD does a new Coxster simply DWARF a 2nd gen 911!?? Fut the wuck.

ditto that note, but on a beeeoootchin green Z:

a reall treat to be parked next to this '66 TR4A IRS in BRG and blk w/ white piping - my dad bought the clone new (one of 3 new cars my family has ever owned lol), I had to pitch it maybe 10yrs ago as I'd had my '3 and the '4 needed a fullllll resto:

Parking w/ the Carburetors & Coffee hosted on the Outfield was a freakin RIOT - our trio pulling in w/ my straightpipe had every eye camera oogler in a 300' radius all over us 8-)... Papparatzi style and breaking the silence. Best is, I've not washed it in a month++ of Just Not Right WOT outings and it was particularly offensive looking... show'nshiners, bedamned heh heh:

Someone here nailed 'shows' tho... man... this one in particular (which oddly enough did have a bunch of long hoods, B-bod's, and a 965 there) had an odd amount of uberDORKS - I hadn't stepped 2sec's out my door upon shutting it down and I was accosted by Mr. "used to have but sold too early / it's dangerous to drive" Rolex. Yeah buddy - I know... I have one. All he wanted to do was wax poetic about... him. FTMFL.
