Scavenge pump oil seal
Hello 930 members...
I noticed little smoke coming from my scavenge pump, took it apart and decided to replace the seals this weekend. No issue getting the pin out of the shaft however, the seal won't budge. Searched the forum and seems like people have no issue getting this out... Is there special tools required to remove this seal? This is from 86 turbo. Thanks Jesse ![]() ![]() |

Cody,
IFIRC there is a metal lip at the top ID. You should be able to use a screwdriver to hook onto that lip and pry the seal upwards until you can grab it with pliers and pull it out. Rahl

Rahl,
Thanks for prompt response. You're right, there is a metal lip and came off with a screwdriver. I don't know how i missed that. |
