Overboost control

On my stock 77 930 I drove it into heated dehumidified storage last fall. The fuel pumps are humming now but will not start. I noticed the boost gauge was showing some boost before I put it away when just driving normal and spiking almost to the 1.3 mark under very light throttle. My thought is the overboost sending unit is Kaput. Where is that overboost cut off sending unit located and the control unit that monitors it? I probably have spares if I knew where located and what they looked like. Thanks. All the modded ones start right up after winter storage. Contrary to popular opinion the pristine original is the one with a problem, go figure. Hate to put it on a trailer and not able to find a Porsche expert to make a house call just yet.

The overboost switch is the small hex with wire attached on the intake manifold. On the 1977 it is about 2" to the right of the boost guage sending unit.

Hope this helps!

1st page of the "my car won't start" sticky... the overboost switch is the one with the smaller square around it. It should be looking right at you on the 77 intake... take off the wire and ground it (stock or not, there is an empty spade terminal near mine that works well for this).
