Boost gauge key

Can you still get the little key with the internal broached triangle that turns the telltale back on these boost gauges, and if so, where? I used to have a couple, but that was 15 years ago and I have no idea where they went nor where to get a replacement.

Thanks
Tracy

Try North Hollywood Speedo or Palo Alto Speedo.

I just modified a tire valve removal tool with some needle nose pliers until I found my key under the carpet.

Thanks guys. I forgot all about North Hollywood Speedometer, I'll give them a shout. IMR-Merlin, I did more or less the same thing drilling and crushing a little piece of aluminum round stock. Functional, but it's fugly and not quite right. My real one was on a key ring that got lost 15 years ago. At least I had sense enough to leave the actual key in the switch when I put her in hibernation.

Speedfab,i am wondering if you use this on a 76' 930?
I am on the same route and wondering where to hook up the airline of the gauge?
I think it goes on the intake, might you have a pic of that point?
Thx

Dwerkz - My car has a separate pressure reference line running to the front, it is not a factory turbo car. On yours you can simply tee into the brake booster vacuum source line. Alternatively I believe there is a brake booster check valve that has a gauge nipple made into it, I'm sure one of the guys on this forum knows. Pelican probably carries it?

Someone who knows where to get one of those things please help this guy out.

Power brakes didn't make their Porsche debut until 1977. It's likely Dwerks is asking because he has a 76 car.

The answer is the same ... run a dedicated hose from the back of the car to the front of the car.

Mine was done by a PO some time ago. The air line is routed from the gauge down through the tunnel into the engine compartment. The line connect s to the intake butterfly valve facing the front of the car.

See there, I learned something new today. Thanks Mr9146! For some reason I thought power brakes showed up in 74 with the body changes.

Take a pop rivet, remove center rod. Put it in drill mandrel, tighten. Presto.

What did the reset key cost? Was there a PN to order?
