Additionally, if I were to look for the makers mark, where would it be? Behind the rubber piece?

73 930 prototype and 74 3.0 rs had the metal grill shown from the UK tail.

It never made any sense to me that the Porsche factory would make an all fiberglass 930 whaletail when the factory ducktail had a metal frame...they could probably use the same metal frame for both.
