LHD to RHD headlamps

I own a 1989 930 which is a lhd model. Till now I have been driving it in the UK with black tape masking out the dipped beam position on the headlamp glass.
I was told once that if I changed the H4 headlamp glass to a rhd model glass then that would solve my problem as the deflecting prism would make the headlamp dip to my nearside (left) instead of to the rightside.
When I went to order the replacement H4 glasses i was told that this was not the case and that the reflector also needed changing, in fact i needed to buy two completely new headlamp assemblies.
Anyone know the correct answer.

David,
Over the years, I have converted four of my cars' LHD headlights to RHD and have only ever changed just the lens. As far as I am aware, the reflector is symmetrical and it is the same for LHD and RHD.

I'm sure the only difference is the lens
Part number for RHD H4 lens should be 911.631.927.01
