by the way speaking of #021 it is being fraudulently listed for sale here on pelican, ebay and everywhere else at the moment. Does anyone know the owner?

Didn't know it was a fraud. A nice shot of the VIN tag with 11/75 build date. Ad states that it is not running.

Wheter the wheel type adjuster for the backrest angle is period correct for a '77 Turbo Carrera (in my case) is what I am trying to find out....

Either the seats have been changed in your and my '77 - or Porsche already delivered some vehicles with sports seats of this type. My car states Sports Seats on the COA... You guys think that is a possibility?

The early Recaro sport seat lever version was replaced by the round knob version ~5/1980. If you sport seats have a lower round adjustment knob, they are the later version and not original for a 1977 Turbo Carrera.

Sorry I respectfully disagree. The 1977 Porsche US brochure pretty clearly shows the wheel type adjuster for backrest angle.

Those are standard seats and not sport seats. Yes, the standard seats had the round adjustment knobs and this did not change in 1980.

Says sunroof in ad it's not. Called the guy "Jimmie" at first had no idea what car I was calling about and thought I was returning his call as he had called about several porsche's. Finally claims by it has been sold

... which means either I purchase a set of period correct "levered backrest angle" style seats for what many people spend on whole cars, or I have to live with this terrible truth.

I guess I will need to sleep over it !
