cdi and high rpm miss?
Can a cdi box cause a high rpm miss?
I'm still experiencing a slight high rpm (starts about 5,000) miss. Doesn't happen in 1st & 2nd, but it does in 3rd. The ignition set up is a 12 plug distributor, twin coils and twin cdi boxes. I've replaced the plugs, plug wires, cap & rotor and both coils. The only thing left are the cdi boxes. The a/f ratio is fine. |

Have you matched injector flows? You may have a decent average AFR but still have a lean cylinder or two. At high revs, given what you have replaced, I would be looking there.
