Phil- I'm not 100% sure. I just got the car back after a major rebuild and I'm not quite to dialing in tire pressure more like oil pressure. Here's some pictures to give an idea of fitment:

I got the same sizes recently. The car is not running yet. But they look amazing. I will let you know.

I'm running 17x9 & 11 made by Braid

Those look great! They are reasonably priced at Wallmart  of all places. My Beemer needs new shoes, if they work out the Porsche is next.

Spool, your 930 is a great color. Just right. Is that Venetian Blue or something else? John.

OldSpool87 08-13-2017 08:19 AM

John-

Funny you chimed in on this. It was your advice that turned me from selling my car in 2014 after meeting a tire wall at LRP:

"It feels like parting out this car would be akin to putting down a much-loved dog who could be saved with some attention from a good vet."

I never thanked you but appreciated the perspective. I'll be at LRP for vintage festival later this month and will have the 930 (and 2-3 kids in tow).

Anyway, the short answer is the car is freshly painted Marine Blue Metalic.

Will

Ha, that's very cool...I didn't put two and two together. So it looks like the car is in fettle... did you do a thread with pics of it getting fixed? Very positive story. And great color. Kind regards, John

Those wheels look the buisness.

Any rubbing in the front, esp. when wheel is turned pretty far?

krasuskyp 08-18-2017 07:42 AM

wicked cool looking Will!

been curious about these tires for awhile now - interesting to see a number here run them

seem very popular w/ the drift & drag crowd (different than Drag Queen like Knuckledraggin Rawknees) - always wondered how they handled and wore as they're cheap and look the business

Bueller?

Will... Watkins Glen Vintage Fest 9/8? Or, how about Carb's n Coffee in New Canaan 9/17? Porsche is featured marque so we get prime parking to honor the 917.

I've been running the 555s for a few years with good results and I've heard the new g2s are better. Typically the rears last only a year and the fronts look new after 3 but I might have to get the whole set by mid winter. These are a good bang for the buck

Hey Paul!

I'll be at Limerock 9/2 for Historical Festival and in the P-Car corral with the 930 (and probably 3 kids). I'll be back the following week 9/9 for a DE in the SC (no kids!). The New Canaan event sounds cool but will require Credit Executive approval as it would make 3 consecutive P-car weekends…you know the drill.
