Group 29 vs group 91 battery
I noticed the other day that slant 930s take a shorter group 29 battery instead of the monster 91 for obvious reasons. I also noticed that in the battery box of my non slant, there is a second hole drilled and tapped for the forward battery clamp, and that hole is in the right place for the short 29. Just FYI in case you are due for a battery change. 29s are easier to find than 91s, at least where I live.
Side note: just behind the battery this morning I noticed an old fuse in a small crevice. I reached a finger in to get it, and suddenly I had a one inch slice in my finger. I knew there was not any edge in the car that could do that, so I shined a flashlight in, and there was a razor blade sitting in the crevice. ???? Bled like a stuck pig; had to put on a rubber glove to keep from bleeding all over the car and tools while I finished the battery install. ![]()

Sorry about the finger, I've had s... like that happen. Takes longer to clean up the mess than do the job in the first place.
I had a dead battery on the eve of a car show and had to find one in a hurry. No one seemed to know what a group 91 was until I stopped at Autozone. He said it crossed to a T6 which fits perfect. Batteries have really gone up since I bought my last one...$197. ![]()

T6 battery? I bought an H6 AGM for my 930 and a H7 AGM for the Boxster from Sam's Club.

I don't know what Group this is, But the Odyssey PC 925 with Odyssey mount fits in the factory mounts, weighs less than half of any other battery, and does the job.
You do need a longer ground cable. ![]()

They actually put the chunky battery in to better bias the weight of the whole vehicle, according to "Porsche 911 story". So now you have to take your AC compressor off to make everything right again!

Group 29 vs group 91 battery
I call BS on that hypothesis. Why would you have the Tractor battery and the washer fluid reservoir on the drivers side and only a copper hula hoop oil cooler on the passengers side?
Porsche quit trying to balance these cars by 74. Sent from my iPhone while Driving
