Ruf MBC
I have been looking at the attached document from Ruf for their manual boost controller for the 930 and trying to figure out the hose attachment to the wastegate itself based on this diagram. I don't see where the boost signal is picked up or how the double banjo bolt is utilized. Has anyone else installed their mbc per the attached diagram? Thanks.
Thank you Fritz for taking time to walk me through your set up. ![]() Last edited by OSI930; 10-11-2017 at 01:37 PM.. |

the boost hose is T'd where it goes into the WG.
then goes to the dial a death and back to the top of the WG. basically you are just regulating a small amount of air pressure on top which adds to the spring pressure. I have a 5bar spring I can put in and then dial up the boost to 1bar if I wanted. that way if someone drove the car that does not know it I could turn it way down. I think only 2 other people have driven it and my wife is not one of them.

It just adds resistance to the airpressure... Works great... |

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it. I am still not understanding how the connection at the top of the wastegate using the double banjo fitting would work if the wastegate vent is on the same double banjo bolt.

Here is another diagram that may be more clear.
Wastegate trouble shooting You "T" the pressure side and attach to inlet side of MBC. then attach hose to outlet side of MBC and connect the other end to the top of the wastegate. This puts pressure front the "open" MBC (turn handle clockwise all the way) to give max boost. Turn handle CCW all the way to stop pressure flow to give lower boost level with spring force only. I have a RUF instruction sheet for the polyurethane front valance and it sucks too. This RUF diagram looks to be done by the same "artist". Rahl |
