Many opinions on 1986 930 no start

Sat 3-4 weeks.Started right up. Ran for 1/2 block-stalled. 15 minutes later , started up. Drove 1/2 mile to gas station but tank full and only added 2 gallons fuel.Drove 2 blocks and stalled again. Towed home. New Bosch CDI box and yellow overboost relay. Pumps run great and hear gas squirting through injectors when air meter plate depressed . Starts for 2 seconds with Starting fluid into intake. Starts and runs while air meter plate slightly depressed but stalls when released. Opinions so far: fuel accumulator, warm up regulator WUR, frequency valve , cold start injector ,-don't want to start replacing all components. Has anyone seen this problem or has a solution?

does it start right back up or does it have to sit for a while?

if it has to sit and the CD is new I would look at the coil.
when it will not start check for spark.
if no spark verify either CD is whining or it has power

if holding the metering plate down KEEPS it running I would check to see:
if the FV is vibrating
air leaks

remove the connector from the top rear of the AFM. this will run the pumps all the time when the key is on. when I cuts off, verify both pumps are running. (could be the speed relay under the seat)

check control pressures.
check for 12v at connector of WUR. measure between the 2 pins

did you mess with co adjustment? if so you might readjust the screw until the plate just begins to open up

Did not touch CO adjustment, pumps run all the time- overturn safety removed, won't start no matter what unless ether into intake or plate depressed-must be a no fuel issue with full gas tank

Sorry to hear about your starting and running issue. I had the very same thing on my 86. Went through just about everything (including rebuilding twin CDIs, replacing coils, wires, WUR, ...) In the end, as strange as it may sound, the battery was bad. I replaced the battery and it's run great ever since.

Sometimes it's the inobvious.

Check Fv for vibrating
Control pressure
Check fuel flow. You can do flow to WUR
