2001 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo Ruf - Anyone?

2001 Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo Ruf

LF: anyone with experience and knowledge of this conversion.

What do I look for and ask to be done before making an offer?

Ruf asks for their own VIN, but only the factory VIN is available. This conversion was not done in Europe, but there is a certificate of authenticity.

Any advice appreciated.

Hey Sustain26,

I might be able to be of assistance on this car.

Email me at cstenersen@weissach.com

I'm the Sales Manager for RUF Automobile Canada. We're currently the only authorized distributor in North America.

I'll do the best I can to help!

I will use questions so I don't hurt too many feelings.
1. Is a non Ruf vin car really a Ruf?
2. Is a dealer bolting on some Ruf parts the same as Ruf rebuilding a car in Germany?
3. How do you value a non Ruf vin car compared to a Ruf vin car?

Over the years I have seen cars come up for sale advertised as "Ruf BTR"....... I just never looked as a car with a few Ruf options being worth a car rebuilt by Ruf. I think you have to be careful when it comes to the value of this type of car.

I think if a authorized RUF dealer did the conversion and all the documents are there then you'll be ok.Now if i did the conversion in my gayrage it would be a different story.
