i know the ms3x cant be thats the one i currently have. But i was planning on getting a ms-3 pro but but have been thinking of mounting it in the engine compartment and putting a subwoofer under the seat.

Hi Ken, I don't think the MS3Pro is available anymore... Mine is the MS3Pro Evo, I have it mounted on the rear kick plate behind the drivers seat. Fits well in that location, and the carpet covers it nicely. Philip

I ran 2 extra wires into the cab...and pulled 3 back to the cab from the harness for meth injection, tach, and LC 1. Hopefully that will do.

That's what I meant whatever the latest version of the pro is.

ECU location

The ECU fits nicely on the kick plate behind the seat, and the carpet covers it well. Now if I could only find the bolts for the seats...

As a side note, I caved in. Put the MS3 kit back in the box and order a MS3Pro Evo.

Came in a couple of days ago.......

The MS ECU will fully control the spark, except dwell. The M&W is basically a 'dumb' box that has 6 low voltage inputs and 6 high voltage outputs. The MS will provide the 5V low voltage square wave trigger signal to the M&W. The M&W will send a 460V capacitive discharge pulse to the coil. One of the hottest sparks out there.

Those coils are 2-wire without any kind of an ignitor, so the M&W box is more of an ignitor with very high voltage.

I spead the ramps and cut the inner lip about 36 long to be able to drop the motor inside the rear posts.

True, but the M&W CDI box only needs a trigger and can accept a dwell range of 0.5-1.0ms. All the magic happens in the box. Once triggered, the box sends a high 480V capacitive pulse to the coil.

I have the car running and tuning is in progress... My LC1 crapped out, so waiting for the new one to arrive... I had no problem with the wiring/install, but I'm a little challenged with the programming portion of the tuning ;-). Hopefully next week I'll be driving.

Sooo, I have my new AFR gauge (LC2) installed... still running very rich. I tested the running fuel pressure, and this is one place i have a problem. My 5 yr old 964 FPR is running 59 PSI, were I have 43 PSI set in my FUEL PUMP AND PRESSURE CONTROL settings. (easy fix) but I should look at a new FPR... whats suggested as a good model ? Do I need a rising rate FPR ?
Now I have a couple of questions as to the operation of the fuel pumps... when running the pumps in test mode, I have what sound like a bit of cavitation, sounds like air bubbles... on the pressure gauge I installed, I see a fluctuation when this noise occurs, the pressure drops about 10 psi and the needle bounces quickly for about 3 seconds. this happens once every 30 seconds...
This is with a new rear Bosch 044 pump, and stock front pump. I know this setup is overkill for EFI, has any one else had a similar problem with their pump system, and were shall I go from here, or just live with it... what are my options/opinions please. Philip
