Headlight relay ground question

The kit I have has two 16 gauge wires for grounds coming off the relays. However, they are too short to make it from the fuse box area to the ground point near the battery. Can I combine the two 16 gauge to a single 14 gauge for about 12 inches to reach the ground point?

Thanks.

I think there is another ground point in the opp direction from the fuse box - near the hood stay?
I am not near my car right now - so going by memory.

The answer is yes. You can take them both to ground through a single wire. I ran mine directly to the negative post on the battery.

Rahl,

Itís a kit from Carmagic (same guy with the LEDs). Technically the kit I have is for earlier cars. The difference is the wire length.

Thanks.

yes there is.

you can combine the wires.
use the one alan mentioned, then you don't see add on wires running thru the car.
