G50/05 Speedo

I am in the process of fitting a G50/05 trans into a 1982 SC
I understand this trans does not have a Speedo drive plate as the 915 does that sends the signal to the speedometer
Can anyone offer some advise on how I can overcome this problem

You can CNC laser or plasma cut a disc with 8 magnets bonded evenly spaced that sandwiches between your CV axle. Then you'd need a mount to hold the sensor.

This was a plan I had for my G50 converting to a later diff cover.

The 1989 Carrera 4 did use one, looks like the same setup as a G50/00 or G50/01.
