Rear Fender Support

Im have some trouble finding the passenger side rear fender support.

Ordered a few from the three part numbers shown across suppliers, none are right. All have a 911.xxx part number pre-fix.

Is this part unique to the 930 given the rear flare size? Any ideas?

I only see one part number. How does it not fit?

The ones which have showed up thus far do not reach out horizontally to connect to the fender. There should be yet another up at the shop today, I am hoping it will the right one.

Volts, the horizontal section of the support tube is a separate piece and part number from the vertical section (you probably already knew this, however) and the only part number I see for 1986+ models is 91150162801 (right hand side - left hand is 93050162801) . . . is that the part number that you've used and the part(s) that showed up didn't fit?

Actually - I dont think I did know that. So you have a vertical support than a flat horizontal extender out to the fender? to accommodate for the wider hips maybe?

It been a long time since I took all this apart and the part break out in the manual was lacking. I am going to grab all the part numbers I have when I get to the shop this afternoon.

Thank you for the help.

Yes, and on my 1987, the separate, horizontal piece appears to be bonded to the lower, quarter panel section (difficult to tell due to undercoating, and dirt, all over it). You're right, though, the parts manual leaves a lot to be desired with regard to those parts (does not specify if for 911 or 930 even though some of the parts on the very same page are specifically noted); your plan to order them all seems the only way to go . . .

Well that helps explain it.

I was looking at this ad and it feels like I need the first and third picture items.

Volts, now I'm even more confused than usual . . . I just took a close look at my 1987 and the only parts that my car has are pictured items #1 and #2 (pics 3 and 4 are not parts that are on my car), so given that, and the lameness of the PET, I don't know what the part number I posted is actually for.

What I was calling a "separate horizontal piece" is actually part of the lower, rear rocker portion of the rear quarter (it's welded to it - not a removable piece). Amazing how the parts manual sux for this.

I've hit my head on that thing while working under a 911 many times. It leaves a mark.
Now I wrap a red shop rag around the end of it and tape it in place for padding while under there.

I took a look this weekend and on the drivers side there's only a vertical support. The horizontal is a welded tab from the fender extension, just like you said.

Nothing showed up from Stoddard yet, hope to know more this week.
