Off topic kinda..

Wow didn’t think there was any new sports car currently on the market barring a ferrari or 918 I’d really be excited about then I saw this today!and it’s relatively inexpensive!! It’s Italian too!!

This is a alfa romeo 4C

I figured Id post this here as I know some are looking for a new track toy..

Apparently they only sold 20 of these in the nation last month! RARE!

Super rare and desirable sports car weighs 2400 lbs does 0-60 in 4.5 secs has 240 hp!!

These are made by the maserati factory and are a FULL carbon fiber monocoque.

I’m just saying this was never on my radar and had totally gave up on modern sports cars. This is just beyond cool. It’s Italian too!!

Best looking car on the road if you ask me, but let down by its engine and slow flappy paddle gearbox.

I think a certain lightweight coupe made by turnip farmers in Hethal is a better car of the same type (exige). However you will have to buy used as I think around 2011 was the last year for a USDM version

I agree, beautiful car, i've seen a couple in person and they have very nice lines and proportions. But for practicality, i'd prefer the Quadrifigillio or whatever the F they call the sedan.

Nothing screams Italian passion like an automated transmission that takes an hour to shift or a motor suitable for a minivan, at least its not German though.

I seriously doubt this F1 derived transmission takes a hour to shift?

This engine is a turbocharged 4 cylinder.

The drivetrain of the car do not live up to the sporting intentions of the rest of the car, review after review have pointed it out. The transmission is slow to react and the turbo is tuned for mid band

for example:

Hummmm. reviews I've read {at least 4}, most claim the car to be very capable on the track, but downright miserable on the street.
The words like sadistic, lethargic clutch engagement from a stop-to-start, very poor seats
& drivers seating position, fixed position passenger seat, cowl/ windscreen shake, hard steering effort, moves around over bumps and expansion joints.

I guess it depends on your intended usage or how masochistic you tend to be....to each their own.

Yes, that was so subtle I missed it the first time I read it. Or maybe I'm just a bit slow today...

Sling king for the day!

In all honesty, it looks like a fun track car, à la Lotus Elise. But not a fun car around town, or even as a high-speed road car.

Horses for courses, but I like a car I can drive a couple hundred miles on a long weekend road trip in relative comfort. Relative.

I certainly wouldn't PARTICULARLY an Alfa or Fiat over a Lotus.

I've been sorta kinda looking around for a good Exige myself, if I see an exceptional deal I'll snap up in a heartbeat.
