maybe belongs in market place but value of sandcast case quesion...
 

Hello,
I have the opportunity to purchase an early sandcast case. I don't really need it but it would arguably be better than the 7r case I have for my planned hot rod build.

Anyone care to share an opinion or datapoint on what an empty early sandcast case should sell for or what a can't pass it up price might be?

I feel like I've seen them in the $5-6K range, assuming good condition

I think they are worth the money. Even with all the machining mods, mag cases are getting older and brittle.
