Piston squirters install Australia

I have exhausted all avenues here by phoning around. In the hope some Australians use this forum for info. For my upcoming engine build I'm after a shop that can perform this work. Im presuming my 67s engine does not have squirters. I don't really want to send it to the US its costly and all I hear is horror stories about wait times let alone transit damage etc. I'm also after the by pass mod but this seems simple enough. I'm just not prepared to let a shop use my case for a first time run.
Thanks Lyndon

Hi Lyndon, Have you asked auto haus Hamilton? They build a few engines, perhaps they have a source.

Lyndon302 11-07-2018 01:11 PM

I will give them a call.

Ok good news. I at last have an answer. Spoke to Grant at Auto Haus. He has been down this path and he now sends all his cases to Ollies.
So I will make arrangements when the time comes.
Thanks Lyndon

gotta send it all the way to the usa anyway.. I'm looking at sending some cylinders over too..

One of use should book a flight and take the gear as luggage!

Surely someone in Australia can do this, I did it myself with the help of a machinist mate and his mill, it's not that complicated.

Have you given Kane at Zuffenhaus a call? I'm pretty sure he can help you out. He's in Preston.

Geez, you guys are keen! Sending stuff to the US is a massive time and $$ commitment.
So glad that I was able to avoid shipping stuff off!

I have not needed any case work to be done by a machine shop yet, but I removed my squirters myself and got a look behind them, it is a relatively simple arrangement which I imagine any good quality machine should be able to execute.

Crankshaft rebuilders in Preston. I have rang and they are confident. Apparently they have done them before.
Thanks Lyndon

Give Richard den Brinker at PR Technology a call - I'd be amazed if he couldn't do this.

Try Bob Whymms Automotive (BWA P/L) in 45 Prince William Dr, Seven Hills NSW 2147 Tel 1300 292 288

He used to do machine work to early 911 Aluminium/Mag cases.

little squirt

hi lyndon,if your engine doesnt have pisto squirt holes i think thats a lot of work not only do the rods need to be drilled but i think cranckshaft has to be machined so so all oil holes line up and oil arrives at the thrust side of cylinder good luck .
