A late 915 will handle a 3.6/3.8 without a hicup, just saying.

From my experience, a late reinforced 915 will be fine w/ a 3.6 that is adult driven, a 3.8 not so much, I could make mine weep(literally) in any of the 3 lower gears |
Just wanted to follow up on this thread I started. I ended up sticking with 3.6 and having it tuned by Rasant Products in Long Beach, CA. They did a great job. Car runs really well. The only change I am looking to make now is switching the shifter to something that will place it a little higher and forward so it does not sit against the my leg when in 2nd gear. Saw someone advertising a custom shifter the other day so looking in to that. Thought about a CAE shifter but that seems to be a can of worms I probably don't want to open. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get the shifter positioned properly? I also have the rebel racing raised shifter tunnel which helps a little but still not quite where I want it to be.

What kind of power and torque did you end up with? What ECU did you use?
