OBX Headers for 911
Guys,
Need some advice, has anyone tried these headers and/or gotten dyne results? What other exhausts have you tried? This is for a 911 race car (2.0L) Thanks for your feedback |
The only pair I've seen did indeed perform just fine for a while on a racecar locally, but they died after about 2 seasons, cracking around the welds. They're just a knock-off of the old Euro headers which GT racing sells now for some $900 or so. Those won't break.

Haven't seen the same design lately when googling. |
I'm using them on my home built turbo. Not under racing conditions, just HPDE's.
Haven't noticed any cracks yet. (Installed Oct 2015) Dyno pull: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DCJt2pGYQuE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Haven’t seen them up close in a 911 but I’ve seen dozens of sets in Subarus. You get what you pay for. They are cheaply made and the welds do crack. If you’re happy to reweld them when it happens, go for it. If you want a long term solution spend a bit more and get some GT racing ones. They bought George’s company and carry on.
