As someone who has built hundreds of these engines over the last 40 years, I find your assertion that "proper machine work" is some kind of scam to be offensive.
You came to this forum asking advice and dump a load of shyt on those who try to help you.
Every single 2.7 mag case with mileage will have line bore issues. The pertinent question is "how much"?
I always get a kick out of newbies that have it all figured out....

There are reasonable compromises but willful blindness is not one of them.

Henry and I have not always seen eye to eye. But I have a ton of respect for his experience and knowledge. He is 100% correct in what he is saying.

Haha. DpMulvan my Bridgeport mill comment was facetious, a joke. I wouldn't even know how to set one up and it was in no way meant to mimimize the effort some people put into machining our engines for us and if I offended anyone it was not my intention.
It was the equivalent of saying if I needed $7k worth of machine work on my 7R I would throw out the window. Maybe I should've said that in the first place. I actually just got through watching an hour of the School of Automotive Machinists machining a block and heads and am fascinated with the amount of work and measurement and setting up the equipment required. And am thoroughly impressed with the select few magicians who can do the proper machining to make our engines better than when they were new.

So my apologies again to anyone I offended especially those with machine shops since I'm about to tear down my 7R for rebuild and will need the services of a good machine shop who knows these cases well.
P.s. The dremel idea might just work.

You came to this forum seeking advice for your disassembly problem because you simply could not figure how to fix it. That was a good decision you made. Unfortunately your ignorance and arrogance have dominated your emotion. And started acting like a fool. This was the exact word you described some people you don’t even know.

Your reaction to comments and suggestions was some what illogical and uncalled for. It is unfortunate you have been referred as STUPID but you deserve it. Your posts are simply giving a clear picture of your mental ability to comprehend your disillusionment.

You got a serious attitude problem. Take a break and just lick your wound. And just focus on your engine rebuild to keep you occupied. Wish you luck.
