those that used the GSF crank trigger wheel, did you have to modify the engine mount?
Mine isn't even close to fitting. I have the 36-1 wheel with AC. Car is a US 3.0 SC. Is there a mounting plate that will clear or do I need to modify this one?

strange. Mine fit perfect. Is it correct type, especially OD ? I'll see if I can take a picture of mine

I’ve noticed that GSF makes a 158mm pulley, listed as being for a 965 turbo. That one is substantially larger than the stock one for a 3.2. Did you wind up with one of those?

Lucky you, my buddy showed up today with his 930 which has a two groove GSF pulley on it. No issues at all, the engine carrier to pulley must have had at least 1/2" clearance at the front, more on the sides. They must have sent you the wrong one.

I had to change to the 3.2 engine mount console on my SC to fit the GSF double pulley.

Fun update for future reference. I posted a WTB ad and bought a 3.2 carrier for way more than I wanted (yay Porsche parts!). Little did I realize that there are multiple types (because of course there are ) and while I can now fit the pulley wheel, the bolts on this carrier do not line up with the studs on my SC case. So be aware, evidently, Cab mounts are different than Coupe!
My fault, I guess I didn't research enough and now have two useless mounts. |

I have no idea man, I'm super frustrated with this and the last thing I want to do is throw more parts at it hoping it'll work. |

Sorry you're having fitment issues. I wish I had something helpful to add. |
eBay messages worked for me, but it’s pretty minimal interaction. Very short and not terribly helpful advice. The kit itself is nice but it’d be nice if they disclosed that it may require modifying the engine mounts, which I didn’t plan for and is now holding up everything.

So, question, does anybody know if a 3.2 coupe carrier plate will absolutely line up with the SC studs? I bought a 3.2 carrier for a Cabriolet but it won't line up, so it's a paperweight and I hate to buy yet another plate that doesn't fit.
After hacking the hell out of my engine carrier plate to see if there was any way to make it work...not a chance. While it now clears the wheel, you can't slip a belt in there. It snags right where the stud bolts to plate (circled in red), and after grinding away up and in towards it, there's just no way without compromising the stud mount. Super frustrating and don't know how to proceed next. https://i.imgur.com/BCP4oWS.jpg |
