Quick and easy DIY P221 and P222

Just putting this here for people who might search for this in the future. I bent up my own out of some 1/8" welding rod. Took minutes, and cost pennies!

On my SC motor the #3 rod was happy enough to rest against the oil pump so no 222 required there.

Since I didn't have a helper (or a third hand) I used a bit of wooden dowel as a lifting handle for the #1 and #2 rods.

I used bent coat hangers; not pretty but got me where I needed to be. Johnny 042's are nicer!

I hope the picture is just a 'poser' shot of your crank in the case for us to see.

I don't see any assembly lube or a nose bearing installed.

Could you please post some measurements of p221 & p222

Correct!!! Actually there is assembly paste on the bearing shells that you can't see.

There are some dimensioned pics available if you search google images of the actual tools.

In my case they were custom fit. The P221 (long one) is as long as I could make it from a 36" piece of welding rod :)
