Circlip drop recovery method for dummies

Well I had my cylinders holes covered (not good enough). Alas I dropped a circlip into the engine. Looked with bore scope and tried magnet to no success. Crank turned fine.

Then I turned engine so the side without cylinders and pistons faced the earth. Picked up the engine and stand a few inches (just one set of wheels, I’m weak) and dropped them. After about three drops I noticed a circlip on the floor. :D

Will get my last circlip on tomorrow, celebrating this event!

You aren't the first to drop one in the motor, nor will you be the last! Good to hear you got it out relatively easily!

Cheers
