Engine rebuild progress by neophyte

Well thanks to this forum and much help on the side (internet, texting a guru) I’ve got my engine case closed and opened and closed again. Also finished installing my JE pistons (98 mm jobs) and those evil fing circlips. I resisted the temptation to grind them down, Based on information provided herein. I Used the Stomski tool to install them. With just the right technique the Stomski tool works great (any other technique it sucks

After the pistons, cylinders were installed I put in my lower steel head studs with red locktite. Hope it’s right so far, because it not, I’m looking for a cliff to push it off.

The 2 hrs in the book to install pins, clips etc is just nuts for me. One tough one took over two hours (slipped off the rings, had to pull the wrist pin to get piston to reload, after trying for a hour+ to load clip!).

Definitely an adventure for a first timer like me. Hope this doesn’t jinx future efforts to come .
