Rocker rebuilder in Canada?
I'm rebuilding my 79 911sc that has been sitting for over 15 years.
Although there isn't any slip in the bushings, I think it would be prudent to have the rockers rebuilt as I am having the cams reground. Shadboldt is regrinding the cams to 964 spec, Hayward is doing the heads and High Performance Engines is cleaning and inspecting the cases and rebuilding the rods. Neither of those companies reface the rockers. Does anyone know who might do that in Canada? I'm in Vancouver. I'd prefer not to have to send them to Ollie's. I didn't see any pitting or anything, but I think I should have them refaced, no? Any advice would be appreciated. Ryan |
We send ours down south. We have used DR Camshafts and I believe had a set done years ago Cgarr here on the board. Both are contributors and work is perfect. Lance is the man for heads. He does multiple sets for us every year. Dave does P/C work for us as well.

Contact Craig Garrette......
Craig G. rebushed the rockers and polished the rocker shafts to perfection for a couple of sets for me. And shipped them back to me before I sent any payment. Plus the turn around was too quick. One set of rockers arrived Friday and were shipped out on the following Monday. I don’t know the guy. And I am just another satisfied customer.

If you're hesitant to send them because of concerns over customs/duty etc. I wouldn't worry - just put a value of $100 and send them off as "used car parts" via canada post, to Craig Garrett.
