Exhaust studs

Little help please. What length stud for early 911 exhaust. Coarse or fine thread. Zinc or stainless. Thanks.

Some of the studs on my Carrera engine easily unscrewed while I was removing the exhaust so I’m not anticipating a fight but I will remove carefully and chase the threads for new studs. The engine is on a stand so nows the time to do it. If I do run into problems, our shop has a Stompski kit. I’m using a thin flange exhaust so I’d rather have the correct length studs than use spacers.

Try 8x37.

Thanks Bruce. Should I do zinc coated or stainless steel. I’m getting a bunch of hardware from bell metric so I want to include these in the order.

I'm fitting early style (Eisnemann) HE's to my 3.2SS - I got studs from Belmetric. The 3rd pic shows them on the right compared to a "normal" stud on the left.

You want zinc. Stainless will gall and be a general pain in the rear.

Thanks. I confirmed with another expert and he said zinc coated as well.
