i am trying to install a new cross arm in a porsche 911T from 1973.
but the arms of the new one are about 5 cm longer then the original old one ??

Is this thing called a "cross arm" something I never heard of in an engine?

Are you asking about the window regulator ? If so , the new regulators require new holes .

I replaced the original regulator in my 1973.5 about 20 years ago. The updated one came with measurements to drill a few new holes. You should check to see if you have the paperwork with the new hole locations. My updated one is working perfectly.

From Pelican catalog
Note:
When replacing parallel with cross arm type regulator must also use (Qty.) (1) 911 542 057 00 rail (1) 911 542 491 40 seal. Left. Coupe. Fits left of vehicle
