1980 SC - Pressure Plate

Can someone please tell me how to remove the pressure plate as seen in photo. I assume I need to take the 9 allen bolts off the flywheel. Any suggestions how to get the bolts off? They are very stubborn. Heat?

Yes you need to take off the Allen bolts they are very tight. I needed a cheater bar on a big ratchet to break them loose. Make sure your Allen socket or wrench fits very tight. If it’s a little loose it’ll strip out the head and then you’re down to vice grips and muscles.
Good luck

Bolts

Break all 9 bolts loose before loosening them evenly, if not the last bolt will be bound up and next to impossible to break free.

Use an impact driver to avoid stripping out the allen bolts.

Loosen or break all 9 bolts 1/2 turn each before attempting to remove them. Then the next step is to loosen them gradually until the load on the pressure is released. The loaded pressure has to come up even.
