97mm cast iron cylinders
Has anyone had any experience replacing the Nikasil 97mm cylinders with cheaper cast iron units?
I am particularly interested if it is possible do it without machining heads and case. |

Mmmmm, 1968 technology so Porsche could produce a cheaper version of the 911 and you desire to copy the economy.
You should try to find a good used cast cylinder, heat killed most of them Bruce |

+1 The Nikasil cylinders are such a Great Leap Forward over the iron ones. If yours are worn, why not have yours replated?

Jon from EBS Racing here. Would not recommend 97mm cast iron cylinders. Replating your cylinders is really the best way to go and very reasonable @ $990/set vs a new piston & cylinder set. If you don't have good cores we can supply those as well. Call or email me jon@ebsracing.com if you would like more details.
