962 3.6L Engine removal
I'm thinking of taking the engine down to get to some of the oil leaks by the firewall and do a clutch change. My initial problem was how to jack the car up and be able to put it on jack stands. In the 101 Projects book, it said that you can jack the car up from the bottom of the engine. Is this still true for the 3.6L?

Casey,
You can jack on the engine. I don't know if you can do that if the tray is still attached. -Chris BTW: I think you have 962 (race car) and 964's ('89-94 911) mixed up. |
Yes I've removed the engine, transmission guard. Since the bottom of the engine does not have the same round sump as the earlier engines, I wasn't sure about putting that much pressure on the middle of the case. You are right that I was referring to the 964 C2.
