Has anyone used PMO MFI throttle bodies?
I'm thinking of converting my 3.2ss CIS engine to MFI and found the PMO MFI throttle bodies.
I'd like to use the PMO's because a: they're new so no need to rebuild and b: no need to convert my heads for the MFI injectors. Would the added injector height with the PMO's have any detrimental effects on power or driveability? Any quality issues with them? The intended use is mostly street driving with a bit of track so ne need for slidevalves etc ![]() |

PMO Intake
Properly tuned they work very well for a street car.ITB,s that give a straight shot over the port are better for track use.Ciao Fred

Why not try a better set up like Rasant?

Why MFI? EFI is so much more flexible and better able to handle variables in engine configuration. MFI is 60’s technology. I would only use it if originality were an issue.
Andrew at Rasant is great. But I would be looking at AT Power shaftless butterfly ITBs from Reno Rennsport. They give the best combination of flow speed and volume. Get Andrew to buy and install the setup and then tune it.

I have not used PMOs but if the height and throttle plate replicate closely the stock, no reason it shouldn't work fine. I have a couple of MFI engines, 2 are with 3.2 heads, so had to make a receiver to hold he injector, which raised the stacks .80'', creating a potential linkage sync issue. I worked out angles and levers with the linkage that on paper looked correct, and I think it would have worked, but decided to raise the pump the same amount and had longer belts made. Bob
