Engine number for RSR

Could someone give some help with this engine number? 62120048

Reportedly from a RSR, but year, etc. unknown.

621 is 1971 911 e. The 2 in the fourth digit is odd though.

engine number for RSR

Thanks for the feedback! Attaching 2 photos, one of engine overall and one of the engine number on the case. Also the case number is 964 101 111 OR. For a while I was thinking maybe a 93 RSR, but they have a letter in the engine number.

I'm new to posting, so hope this works!

That engine number is "62L20048".

6 = Number of cylinders
2 = Normally aspirated
L = 1990
20048 = Engine serial number

Thanks, Scott! I'm presently just working with the photos of the engine a friend is sending me - and was starting to think that might be an "L" in the number!
