3.0 crank in a 2.7

Other than having to bore the cases can anyone comment on using a later 3.0 crankshaft in a 2.7 cases
Any advantages?

I can't see *any* advantage to it. The 2.7 crank is the same as the 3.0 crank, except for the flywheel end...
