Hi comp piston question

67 S.
I'm boring it out to 80.5 or 81mm as my bores are worn.
I've been offered the lower comp wossner pistons at a good price.
Is this something to consider or not.
Lyndon

Whether or not they are suitable or the compression will be to low or maybe there is a way I can increase it.
My guess is the few dollars I save will not be worth it ??
Thanks Lyndon

S-version (what Wossner sells) is 10.5 compression if I remember correctly, and some say its bit too high for 2.0 without twin plug.

10.5:1 would give some performance increase, but you'd need something better than pump gas for single plug. With 9:1 you'd be safe.

you could add a slightly thicker cylinder base gasket to lower compression a bit. The machining of the heads will also add a little compression.
