Do I have a Zenith 40TIN part left over
Hi all,
Just had my Zenith 40 TIN carbs apart to replace venturis. All good, nothing broken etc. Carbs all back together and ready to install, I hope. Having done that job I then sorted through my assortment of old carb jets, gaskets, washers etc to organise those. Then I tidied up - and found this left on the bench (see photos below). My question from the experts is this - could it have come from one of the Zenith 40 TINs I had apart? (and if so, what part is it) - or from my bag of assorted old parts. No thread, no holes, a flat baled screwdriver slot at the top, a slot at the bottom (or possibly half a hole and the rest of the shaft is missing??). Very strange. Don't you hate having parts left over  Aaargh!! Thanks DaveOhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586844892.jpg |

+1. Goes inside the housing, directly under the acceleration jet.

Dear Reuben.L & VFR750
Thank you both - took the accelerator pump nozzles out and sure enough only two to be seen. Now all fixed and carbs back together. Cheers - and thanks once again DaveO PS This is for my 914 into which I've put a 2.7L engine - sorry not Porsche, but Chev Corvair. |
