40 IDA Webers, made in Italy vs American

Hi,

I purchased a set “American made” Webers 40 IDA’s.

Overall condition looks great. No play in shafts and no wear around throttle valves in housing of carbs.
I want t use the purchased IDA’s for a new 2.5 l (2.45 Henry Schmid -Supertec spec) engine build but read also very contrary stories on quality and leakage issues.

Could someone share their experiences on the quality differences if any!?

Thanks,
Bart
