2.2S vs 2.7RS so-so specs

Hi guys, id like a little poll on this. I have gathered parts to rebuild from ground a 2.7 to so-so RS specs using:
- Mahle RS 90mm p/cs 8.5:1
- Webers
- E-cams
- Headers

But also have a solid 2.2E bottom end with S-cams, that i could just slam S-pistons in:
- JE?s 85mm 10.5:1 pistons
- E Byral cylinders honed to 85mm
- S-cams
- Webers
- Headers

Your choice and specs for both of them. Thanks!

The 2.2 will be an S w/o mfi....power from 4000rpm+

The 2.7 will have a bit more torque

what heads are you using for these engines?

either engine will be loads of fun in a light car..

Hi Tim, would be using the stock heads ported to correct specs. To use in a 914/6 conversion. Sorry, i should have mentionned.

As the saying goes... there's no replacement for displacement.

Seriously, both would be great but I'd swap to put the S cams in the 2.7 and put the E cams in the 2.2.

2.7 liters and S cams go very good together. One of Porsches best combos. E cams are a better street cam for a 2.2
