Air-Oil Separator for 964?

Hello, I’m trying to fabricate an air-oil separator for a 964. Would like to make something like this set-up from a 9m 993 that bolts to the firewall. Two questions about this that I’m unsure about: • How does the oil return line/drain at the bottom of the can feed back into the oil tank? • How do these nice AN lines interface at the oil tank? Do you think they’re just pushed on and attached with hose clamps like the stock lines? Thanks, Sam Here's the separator I want to replicate: Wider shot of the separator in the engine bay: Diagram of 964 oil system: Cut-away of 964 oil tank:

I guess they add an AN fitting to the tank for the return (the small AN). But regular push on is good enough for this.

the lower hose must be a return to tank hose. In the case that you want to go AN on the tank you may be able to silver solder or braze on fittings: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3259 This unit was recently mentioned however it would need to be modified to drain to the tank. Its a manual empty: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/1078686-intake-madness-teardown-begins-31.html#post16665367 Here is the unit: https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/jlt-oil-separator-3-0-base-kit/ Pete

Why not just drain back into the vent at the rear of the engine with a simple T fitting. There should not be much oil returning from the seperator and its close to where you are looking at putting the separator. john
