911 Engine Shop recommendation in Michigan?
 

I have an aircooled 2.7L mag case based performance engine that needs reassembly after a reseal tear down. I'm looking for an experienced and competent individual or shop in the Detroit metro area (SE Michigan) who can do the work at a reasonable cost and timing. Cases were not split, and at this point no machining should be needed. Most parts are on hand. Heads are freshly rebuilt, so assembly of pistons/rings/cylinders/heads/cams/chains/etc. is what I have in mind.

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

Automotive Techniques in Novi. They have done several projects for me, including engine rebuild and “enhancements” and are top-rate. Don’t know of anyone better around here. They are the best.

I'm familiar with big shops like Automotive Techniques and Arbormotion, Munk's too. A/T is probably the choice of the 3, but was hoping to find a low profile shop or experienced individual.

I trust Tim Pott's knowledge and experience at AT in Novi. Sebastian's crew at ArborMotion is good and he has a really nice facility, but Tim isn't there anymore...
