New Tensioner not Priming

Hi Guys

Had chain rattle on right side of engine at idle when warm. Decided to replace existing chain tensioners, purchased from local Porsche Dealer. First tensioner went in without a hitch. I used a hand pump oil can with a hose fitted with correct sized eyelet. Sourced from old oil line. Thread into tensioner. Pumped oil until it came out top hole. Pulled pin continued to pump, used a large screw driver to ensure all air out of tensioner. Tensioner rock hard.
Second tensioner installed in same manner.
Tried pumping but no oil coming out of hole in top. I tried pulling pin. Still no oil. Tensioner would not primer. Any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance

Shoot some compressed air into the oil inlet. Could be a ball check is jammed shut. My newly installed pressurized tensioner had the same symptom. Could hear the ball check "pop" as air was introduced. Fine afterwards.

If still NG, return the faulty tensioner for a replacement.
