North Carolina machine shop
Anyone in North Carolina have a machine shop they work with. I would like to get the crank and rods magnaflux checked, then rework the big end of the rods. Not sure I trust my local shop with this. I called Boyette Machine in Raleigh and they said they don't work on Porsche engines.... With all the race shops around this should be easy to find right. I would like to avoid shipping the crank if possible.

Bruce,
That would really be helpful. Working with a machinist already familiar with these engines would be a big step forward. I am going to put in the time and money required to have a durable engine at the end of this effort. As much of the labor I can do myself without causing harm or risk I will do. |
